Float position on loader control | Green Tractor Talk
Sep 03, 2015 · Just getting used to using a FEL for the first time on my JD 4510 with a JD 460 loader. I have read the tractor and loader manuals and tried to decipher the icons on the control, but really don't understand what the FLOAT option is and if my setup even has this. Can anyone direct me to some explanations and tips for using the loader.

May 19, 2020 · 4500/460, my 640 loader is rock solid. Check the loader detach linkage on left mast. If that's not pulled in, the loader will pop off the front. Also, early 460 loaders got retrofitted with front locking clamp. Mine does not have it, seems to have missed the safety recall, but like I mentioned, it's rock solid and has never shifted.

Could be is it just a blow o-ring or other seal. Worst case, the SCV is listed under part # LVA802784 and price lists for $790.

Apr 29, 2017 · My grandpa has a John Deere 4500 with a 460 front loader that he bought brand new in 2000. I can't remember for sure, but I think it has somewhere about 600 to 700 hours on it. He has kept it stored in his shed since he bought it. But time and age have faded the plastic hood and fenders. The paint is still pretty good, just slightly faded.
